			new demos.
It can be run as is.
		xsprt.wad- Contains only new sprites.
Resource only - cannot be run.
NWT102A.zip- NewWadTool. Use this to load
			sprites into Edna.wad,
or to work on other wads.
		EDNA.txt- Official description and legalese.
		READ1st.txt- You found it.

EDNA.wad contains five new missions that will play as the first
five missions of DOOM II if you type DOOM2 -file EDNA.wad at the
DOOM2 prompt. New sounds have been added, as well as one new tune
and some new graphics that appear as wall textures, control panel
graphics, etc. There are also three new demos that play from the
NEW GAME screen if you let it sit for a few seconds.
Watch these for a few tips.

Now, the new sprites. The term Sprite refers to the things you
find in the game that are not a part of the architecture, such as
monsters, ammunition, trees, dead guys, etc. My new sprites are
contained in a bundle called xsprt.wad.

Normally, all the DOOM Sprites are contained in your DOOM2.wad.
When you play a modified wad, it borrows these 'resources' from
the main DOOM2.wad, called the I-wad.

To add new Sprites, you first have to add all possible Sprites
from the I-wad into the modified wad. I didn't do it because it
makes the wad so big it would take you forever to download it.
So, I threw in NWT so you could do it yourself, if you want.
No big deal. There's a lot of steps, as you can see, but if you
follow the directions, it should be easy, and maybe you'll find
NWT useful for other projects.

STEP-BY-STEP for adding Custom Sprites to EDNA.wad

Assuming your Doom2.wad is installed in c:\Doom2...

	1)	Place unzipped contents of EDNA.zip in c:\doom2.

	2)	From File Manager, Run PKUNZIP NWT102A.

	3)	Quit Windows. Go to c:\Doom2>.

	4)	Type NWT -AS EDNA.WAD.

NWT will copy all sprite resources into
		Edna.wad. This makes it big.
		Let it work.

	5)	Type NWT, press ENTER.

	6)	Press Alt-L, type XSPRT, press ENTER.

Now you're looking at all the new resources I've
included. To view the new graphics use the arrow
keys to choose a resource and press ENTER.

	7)	Press and hold down the SPACE bar until all
contents of XSPRT.wad are highlighted in blue.

	8)	Press F2, and let it work.

NWT will take all the new graphics in XSPRT.wad
and insert them in your DOOM2 directory as a
series of files with the extension .RAW.

	9)	Press Alt-L, type EDNA, press ENTER.

Now you're looking at all the resources included
		in EDNA.raw.

	10)	Type SSW.

The SEARCH STRING at the bottom of the screen
will scroll to a resource called SSWVA1.
It's a modified SS guy from Wolfenstein.
Press ENTER to view, if you want.

	11)	Holding down the SPACE bar, highlight SSWVA1
		through SSWVK0.
		They should all turn blue.

	12)	Hold BACKSPACE to clear the SEARCH STRING.
		Type SOUL.

	13)	Highlight SOULA0, SOULB0, SOULC0, SOULD0.

	14)	Hold BACKSPACE to clear, type BBR.
		Highlight BBRNA0, BBRNB0.

	15)	Hold BACKSPACE to clear, type MEG.
		Highlight MEGAA0, MEGAB0, MEGAC0, MEGAD0.

	16)	Hold BACKSPACE to clear.
		Type TRE2. Highlight TRE2A0.

	17)	At this point, all these resources should be
		highlighted in blue.

	18)	Press F5 and let it work.

NWT will replace the selected original resources
in EDNA.wad with the new sprites contained in
		the .RAW files.

	18)	Press Escape to exit NWT.

	19)	At the Doom2 prompt, type NWT -C EDNA.WAD.
		Press ENTER.

NWT will clean EDNA.wad of extraneous information
		leftover from doing it's thing.

	20)	Finito. Type DOOM2 -FILE EDNA.WAD and you're
			cookin with gas.
