Pillar - Part 3


    Rotate it on the Y-Axis once, and resize it exactly as shown.
    That is, one unit (Grid 8) within the cylinder in both dimensions


                       
                              Top View


               
                                            Front View

    In the Front View, enter Vertex mode, and drag the top vertex
    to the left so that it touches the corner of the brush above.


                     
                                            Front View

    In the Top View, drag the Top-Left vertex up so that the edge of
    the patch is at 45 degrees (this has to be exact). Do the same
    for the bottom left vertex, moving it downwards to form 45 degrees.


                       
                              Top View

                You should now have a patch that looks like this:


                       
                              Top View

    Clone the patch 3 times and Z-rotate them so that they are
    around at each side of the pillar.

                       
                            Top View


             
                                        Front View

        Add some textures and throw in a few lights and thats it!
