April 22, 1998 ================================================================ Title : The Powersphere Quest Filename(s) : techcity.bsp hub.bsp cross.bsp temple.bsp temple2.bsp Author : Cedar Kraus Email : nfn07530@naples.net Description : something very unique, and fun :) it's probably way too hard on single player, so I don't really suggest playing without a friend or 2...... Story : as of late, the war on stroggos has been going quite well.. many empty or damaged stroggos installations have been looted of all values, and the stroggos population is scarce now.. rumors have been going around about an alien sphere of untold power, hidden in a secret temple... you happen come across some coordinates encrypted in a stroggos storage device, and gather a few friends to go along on the search. after being air-dropped to the coordinates, your team finds a cave leading to the backdoor of a city hidden by the large mountains surrounding it.. the power-sphere must be found, at all costs! Bugs/Problems : n/a Installation : 1) Unzip the file into \quake2\baseq2\maps\ 2) run a coop server starting on the map techcity quake2 +set coop 1 +set deathmatch 0 +map techcity 3) enjoy ================================================================ Play Information ---------------- Single Player : No (yes, but not reccomended) Difficulty Settings: No Cooperative : Yes Deathmatch : Yes Construction ------------ Base : Nothing Editor(s) used : qe4, qer, text editors.... Build Time : don't ask Notes ----- I've been working on this level pack for a very, very long time... I'd love to hear what you think of it, and if you run a server or review it or whatever, I'd like to hear about that too so I can check it out.. the map temple2 has no real deathmatch support, considering it's size. the other maps were tested with eraser bots/ played through coop with some friends.. I haven't discovered any bugs, and it seems pretty solid at this point. sorry about the thin story, but I developed this thing without a storyline in mind, and felt the one I made up worked fairly good...
