================================================================ Title : Canyon Outpost Date : 05/13/98 Filename : outpost.bsp Author : Brian "wendigo" Hess Email Address : wendigo@virginia.edu Home Page : http://www.widomaker.com/~bhess/outpost/ Description : This level started as a map for the "Defusion" and sat on the shelf for a few months after Defusion died. When I finally got my new computer built and I started editing Quake 2, I wanted to have a Quake 2 deathmatch map publically available so I ported it over to Q2 and started building on it. With this FireGL 1000 Pro accelerating Worldcraft in '95, I was able to make it much larger than any map I've made before, almost clearing 2000 brushes. Playtesting really fleshed out the item placement in this map. Gone are the quad, power armor, invulnerability, and other bullshit items. I am still of the opinion that true deathmatch is about weapons skill and control and not about "keep important items away from my opponent". Additional Credits to : arc, ^Tsuba, dEviLsEyE, Avatar, and crc for testing & suggestions. Transgressus, Indubious, SpaceGhost, and Drizzay for playtesting. Valve Software for finally coming through with Q2 support in WC. ================================================================ * Play Information * Single Player : Look around only.
