The Fiery Place projecta.bsp This is my first attempt at anything that even remotely resembles the detailed world of poorly done maps. In other words, this is my first map, so feel free to e-mail or ICQ me your comments and suggestions. My email is kboomboy@hotmail.com, and my ICQ # is 17425198. The Fiery Place is a Deathmatch-only map. I.E. no monsters or mission objectives. To be honest with you, I don't even know how people could play this map multiplayer, 'cuz even I can't figure out how to start a server with this map. But anyway, here are my thoughts: This map is small. Not meant for 32 people. There would be too many telefrags anyway. This map being small, the weapons and items seem a little crowded. I did this on purpose due to my tremendous belief in the balanced weapons theory. This map gives you little solid ground, so that you should have to watch your step as well as your opponenets. In this map, to get from one place to another, you sometimes have to fall quite a ways. This is done on purpose. This map was made so that you have to watch your health at all times. Yes, there is a BFG. I don't care if you turn it off or on, but I kinda like to see people firin' away at the cheap bastard that gets it. This level was not meant for looks. It is not highly detailed. But I believe a 150 brush map generates a lot less lag than a fully detailed feast-for-the-eyes 2000 brush lagfest of a map. To sum it all up: I liked making this map. I hope others enjoy making maps for the sake of makin' em, not just for havin' 'em thrown around the net. I don't care if you like it or not. I find it fun to play with my dumb-ass bots, even though they're a bunch of wall-huggin' lava-drinkin' morons. Just try it. Tell me if there's no way to use it. Tell me how I could change it so it could be used. I just hope you can have as much fun with it as I have. LONG LIVE QUAKE II!!! Program used: BSP VIS time: A little under 20 min.
