Be sure you have a good backup of all important files before continuing. 2. Unzip the archive into your Quake2 directory with the create subdirectory option turned on. It will create a subdirectory freezefrag. 3. You may then start the server manually or you can use one of the included batch files to start it (ffded.bat for dedicated server or freezefrag.bat for client/server). 4. (Optional) A motd.txt file is included if you wish to use it or modify it with your own message of the day to be displayed when players enter the fragfest. To be used, it must be moved or copied from the freezefrag directory into the quake2 directory. LINUX: 1. Be sure you have a good backup of all important files before continuing. 2. Extract the tar file in your quake2 directory. It will create a subdirectory named freezefrag. 3.
