It will create the \air\ directory and place the necessary files into that directory. Now run quake2 with the +set game air option and connect to a server. Have fun :) * Play Information * The point of Above and Beyond (AaB) is to have a game that is based on a lot of skill and a little luck. Instead of running around the levels blowing the other players to gibblets, in AaB you hunt the other players and knock them off of the platforms and walkways into oblivion below. When you die, you become an observer until there is only one person left alive. That person is considered the winner of the contest. The winner recieves the number of points equal to the number of clients in the server. When you kill someone by knocking them off, you recieve one point. The overall winner at the end of the level is the person with the highest score. As of this first release, there are two weapons in AaB. The first, and primary weapon, is the Airgun. This weapon is used to knock people off of the walkways into the lava, or space below. The weapon fires bursts of air (similar to the railgun) that can move people either a little ways or a long ways. To move them farther, you charge the weapon by holding down the fire button. To fire, just release the button. You can charge the weapon for about six seconds before it blows up in your face. The explosion will knock you backwards by quite a bit (dropping you into the lava sometimes). The charge of the weapon can be seen under the score in the upper-right hand corner of the HUD. At the charge of 60 is explodes, so be careful. The secondary weapon is the Biohazard Concussion Missile Launcher (BCML). Essentially the BCML missile will make a person "drunk". Their movement is not going to be what they want it to be. Just hit yourself with it and find out :). Anyone within the radius of the BCML's explosion becomes concussed. They stay in this state for around 40 seconds. The radius of the BCML is roughly two times the radius of a rocket's explosion. Everyone has 1 BCML rocket when the spawn into a server, or contest. * Other Info * Client Commands: use airgun selects the Airgun (default bind is 1) use concussion selects the BCML (default bind is 7) cmd aab_help brings up a help screen (defualt bind is h) Server Commands: servermessage Set to 1 or 0. When set to 1 it prints out debug information. If you have a server crash, set this to 1 then rerun the server. If the crash appears again, note down the last line that was printed to the screen and contact the coders. We'll then fix the bug and release the new version.
