i think you need a fossil driver and you might also have to lock it

at 19200... i got x00.sys and put it in my config.sys using

device=c:\x00.sys E 1 B,0,19200 R=1024 T=2048

after i intstall the modem responded fine... i don't know if this necessary

but it worked for me
