kENzIe's QuakeWorld 2.10 Config

This config was specifically designed for WinQuake and QuakeWorld play. The settings are hardcore. FOV 120 and D_MIPCAP 3 take a while to get used to. If you don't want to use then, modify the line 'hc_on' in the file KENZ-SETTINGS.RC to 'hc_off'. See the Hacks section further on for info on how to use this without a 3 button mouse. Mouse look (+mlook) or Freelook is on permanantly, the keys are used to control movement, the mouse for looking around and attacking.

When you pick up either a Rocket Launcher or a Grenade Launcher, press the R or F key to select them as your primary. To put a NON-EXPLOSIVE weapon on the middle button, press the key corresponding to it, (see below). You will get visual confirmation of this.

You must exec the KENZQW.RC config file when you are in quakeworld. Do this by either, 1) Setting it up in your QuakeSpy/Gamespy 'CUSTOM CONFIG' file, or 2) Creating a blank CONFIG.CFG in your Quake/QW directory with 'exec kenzqw.rc' in it, and making it read only.

The custom keys are, HOME for a netgraph, this tells you your Packet Loss. and DEL for serverinfo, to tell you the teamplay setting etc. L gives you admin rights on QWRING servers (edit the alias if the code isn't 4175). G does the 'ready' command. and END shows 'teamscores.'

Modify this file to change your RATE and PUSHLATENCY settings to whatever you use.

Screenshot is on F6, it clears the screen of text etc, and makes it look niiice :) There is a 'kenz-say.rc' file that has some shouts in, like "hello" and "feck" for example, change them to whatever ya want.

This config is heavily based on NecroBoi's config, and is the 2nd released version I've done. I've got rid of everything except the default Deathmatch quake and quakeworld stuff.

You also need a 3 button mouse to take full advantage of this. If you don't have a 3 button mouse, then remove all MOUSE2 binds, and then find & replace MOUSE3 to MOUSE2.

Also, I don't expect many people will want to use this config solely on the basis of reading this doc and/or having a gander at the .rc files. Whack it into Quake/Kenz and have a play with it on WinQuake before ya judge it.
